Maria Vachtsevanou was born and raised in Thessaloniki. She enrolled at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) where she successfully completed her Legal Studies and is currently a member of Thessaloniki Bar Association, since 2016. In 2013, she commenced her traineeship in “Primius” Law Firm where she still offers her services as an Associate specialized in Criminal Law, while she holds a Master of Sciences (MSc) “Law & Economics” from University of Macedonia and Law School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). She has participated in several academic conferences and seminars of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law. Maria Vachtsevanou speaks English and Italian.
